People diagnosed with ADHD often have difficulties with social skills, even though they can be extremely "sociable." However, some children diagnosed with ADHD face significant social challenges; their parents and teachers often describe them as children who "simply can't be understood." These kids usually have no idea why they are being punished and why they are told that they sometimes exhibit inappropriate behavior. Rigidity and a high degree of naivety often accompany the Social Learning Disorder (SLD), making it very difficult to deal with.
The social learning disorder typically also affects the learning process, as these children may easily misinterpret the idea behind reading a book and/or an argument. I strongly suggest that, in case of doubt, parents contact a professional who can either rule out this disability or, if it exists, treat it properly.
